BALD EAGLES
These photos were taken at the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, MN. The resident eagles are all rescued birds. We were able to catch two of these birds as they enjoyed an outing on the banks of the Mississippi River. They are beautiful, majestic creatures and such an impressive symbol for our nation.
Resident and migratory eagles can be seen in the area around Wabasha in the winter months after Lake Pepin freezes.
We enjoyed our visit to the National Eagle Center. We joined a group of 5th graders at a wonderful interactive, hands-on presentation. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
